Bloomed: Anemone
Growing wild across Europe, North America and Japan, the anenome is a small, widely coloured genus of flowers with a fine wildflower beauty and delicately complex rosette centre. In Greek classical mythology, anemones sprung from the tears of Aphrodite as she wept over the grave of her lover, Adonis.
The delicacy of the anemone's centre takes the spotlight with gentle waves passing through the stamens, occasionally becoming playful upon interaction and moving in a Mexican wave. The theme of fragility is further portrayed with the visit of a tree nymph butterfly, its wings lightly translucent allowing the blue violet to be glimpsed through as it indulges in the anemone's pollen.
