Pacifico Ring

A pendant reminiscent of a lunar eclipse.

The Pacifico Ring is a chandelier that captures the rare event of a lunar eclipse within the night sky. It plays on Harris' curiosity with light, form and perception, combining an impressive set of bespoke technologies that mimic the movements of shadow and light from this night time experience.

Hanging above as a seemingly impossibly weightless glow, Pacifico Ring demonstrates precision and design married with immaculate fabrication. The gently pulsing dynamic light alters the surrounding environment by capturing objects in the room and creating a play of shadows that gently oscillates from around the suspended ring.

Each Pacifico Ring is sculpted in CAD and further CNC milled out of two solid 5mm sheet aluminium, bringing together absolute finesse and elegance. A nano array of bespoke white LEDs sits within the ring, creating an internal halo of light that moves dynamically, adding lighting volume to this otherwise impossibly flat ring.
