Workshop Supervisor

Workshop supervisor to oversee the artist's workshops.

We are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join our tight-knit creative studio with an international reputation for creating interactive artworks and installations.

The Workshop Supervisor ensures the efficient, safe, and high-quality operation of the workshop, supporting the creation of world-class interactive artworks and installations. . Alongside these responsibilities you will work as part of a tight knit team on a number of workshop tasks including assembling, building, testing and quality checking finely engineered products.

The ideal candidate will be flexible with the work they undertake and have an exceptionally keen eye for detail. The candidate must be able to communicate efficiently with the design and engineering teams, workshop technicians and senior management, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner while  adhering to and contributing to  developing company health and safety policies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing health and safety within the workshop. 
  • Maintaining the workshop facilities including all machinery and equipment.
  • Implementing and actioning stock and component tracking.
  • Monitoring the stock of tools and consumables and placing purchase requests as necessary.
  • Overseeing the induction of new staff into the workshops.
  • Assisting with training Workshop Technicians on Artwork assembly and installation.
  • Preparing artworks for dispatch and installing artworks and exhibitions.
  • Supporting with quality assessment and project documentation.
  • Assembling and testing Artworks.
  • Installing and servicing Artworks.
  • Accepting deliveries; log and distribute to appropriate locations

Key Requirements:
